DISPATCH 2026.08 / INTEL CONFIDENCE: CONFIRMED

Two new playlists land in the final days of the MW4 beta

Day 3 of the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta added two playlists to the board: a dedicated Transit 213 rotation and 6v6 Gunfight on Kill Block. Search and Destroy is still there as its own playlist. Hardcore still is not, on any official page, with the beta closing Tuesday at 10:00 AM PT.

Infinity Ward posted Day 3 of the Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta on Sunday, August 30, and the headline for most players is Double XP. The part that matters for bomb rounds sits further down the page: the playlist board grew by two. A dedicated Transit 213 rotation and a 6v6 Gunfight playlist on Kill Block are both marked new, and the beta closes Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00 AM PT.

Confidence

Official. Every change here is stated in Infinity Ward's own Day 3 Open Beta patch notes on callofduty.com, and the beta window and launch date come from the official Modern Warfare 4 beta page. What is still not on any official page: a Hardcore playlist, and any statement that these two playlists carry past the beta.

What the Day 3 board actually runs

  • Transit 213 24/7 Marked new on the Day 3 board. Infinity Ward says the point is dedicated time on the map. Team Deathmatch on Transit 213 also moved from a 100 to a 150 score limit, and Kill Confirmed from 75 to 100.
  • 6v6 Gunfight on Kill Block Also marked new. The official Weekend Two post had Kill Block running Gunfight at 3v3 plus a 10v10 variant. Six versus six on that map is a size no official page had named before Sunday.
  • Search and Destroy Still on the board twice: as its own standalone playlist, and inside Quick Play alongside Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Inflation and Hijack.
  • Everything else Open Moshpit, Combat Outpost, Hijack, the Mobility Course, and the two Zodiac Resurgence Warzone playlists, which the notes say flip periodically based on time of day.

Why Hardcore SnD cares

Transit 213 is not a beta curiosity. It is one of the twelve maps named for the launch 6v6 pool, and it runs Search and Destroy. A dedicated rotation is the only format that hands you the same layout back to back, which is how plant approaches, off angles and rotation timings actually get learned. With the beta closing Tuesday morning, that is the difference between having seen a map and knowing it.

  • Rep the map, not the mode Run the Transit 213 rotation in respawn to build the layout, then take the same routes into the Search and Destroy playlist and test them with one life on the line.
  • A score limit change is a clock change A 150 point Team Deathmatch on Transit 213 is a longer match on the same layout. More reps per lobby and fewer loading screens on the map you are trying to learn.
  • Gunfight is round practice Gunfight is the closest thing the beta has to repeated one life rounds. Six versus six on Kill Block will not scrim like a bomb site, but the reset and retake habits carry.
The board has grown twice this weekend and still has not grown a Hardcore playlist.

What is not confirmed

Nothing on the Day 3 board says these playlists survive the beta. Transit 213 24/7 and 6v6 Gunfight on Kill Block are beta playlists in a beta that ends Tuesday, and Infinity Ward has not published a launch playlist list. Kill Block at 6v6 is a real official data point on a map whose mode support has been reported three different ways, but a Gunfight variant is not Search and Destroy support. And there is still no Hardcore playlist named on any official page: not the beta page, not the Weekend Two post, not three days of Open Beta patch notes.

Beta clock

The Open Beta runs to Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00 AM PT on all platforms, and Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23. Anything you learn on Transit 213 this weekend is knowledge you keep.
