Late on September 9 the official Call of Duty account told players to pull their Modern Warfare 4 Beta Combat Record while they still can. The record is personalized, it covers your overall beta stats, and per that post it is going away on September 10 at 10AM PT. You request it by posting or replying to the account with your Activision ID and the words MW4 Beta Stats. That is the whole mechanism, and it closes today.
Confirmed. This comes straight from the official Call of Duty account on September 9, and the post names both the date and the time. What it does not say is which stats the record shows, or whether Activision keeps the underlying data after the request window closes. Treat it as a deadline to save what you can see, not as proof the numbers themselves are erased.
Why Hardcore SnD cares
Two beta weekends were the only look anybody got at Modern Warfare 4 before launch on October 23, and the game changed underneath us the whole time: killstreak costs went up, aim assist came down, the headshot and optic penalties were reworked, and Infinity Ward said it was still moving time to kill. Whatever your numbers say, they are a snapshot of a build that no longer exists. That is exactly what makes them useful later.
- A baseline you cannot recreate Launch is six weeks out. If you want to know whether your gunfights actually got better or the game just got slower, you need a number from before, and this is the only official one on offer.
- A read on your own beta habits Most of us played the beta on feel. An overall stat line is a blunt but honest check on whether the way you played matched the way you think you played.
- Team-level comparison Four records side by side are a rough map of who was carrying the beta and who was riding it. It is not scrim data, but it is free and it expires today.
What is not confirmed
The post does not list which stats the Combat Record contains, and it does not say whether the data behind it is deleted or simply stops being served. It also says nothing about beta stats carrying into the full game. Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 had their leaderboards and combat records switched off earlier this year, so the safe assumption is that anything you want to keep, you keep yourself: pull the record and screenshot it.
How to pull yours before the cutoff
- Post or reply Send a post or a reply to the official Call of Duty account containing your Activision ID and the words MW4 Beta Stats.
- Use the exact Activision ID The full ID with the numeric tag, the way it appears on your account. A display name on its own is not the same thing.
- Save it locally Screenshot the reply when it arrives. Once 10AM PT passes there is no stated way to ask again.
A stat card is not scrim data. It is still the only official record of a build you will never play again.
