DISPATCH 2026.08 / INTEL CONFIDENCE: CONFIRMED

Turbo Tilt lands August 20. Ranked and Search wait on patch notes.

Activision has posted the Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 05 Reloaded rundown. The mid-season update lands August 20 at 9AM PT with one brand-new small map, Turbo Tilt, plus a new Freerun course and the returning Cranked Moshpit. For competitive Search players, the notable part is the silence: the post names no Ranked Play or Search and Destroy map pool changes at all.

Activision has posted the Season 05 Reloaded rundown for Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The mid-season drop goes live August 20 at 9AM PT on all platforms, and the multiplayer side of it is smaller than the Zombies headline suggests: one brand-new map, one obstacle course, one returning limited-time mode, and two new attachments. For a Search and Destroy player, the interesting part is what the post does not say.

Confidence

Confirmed. Every detail here comes from Activision's own Season 05 Reloaded announcement on callofduty.com, published August 13. The date, the map, the mode list, and the two new attachments are all stated outright. What the post does not state is anything about Ranked Play or the Search and Destroy map pool, so that absence is reported here as an absence, not as a decision.

Why Hardcore SnD cares

Turbo Tilt is the piece worth tracking. Activision lists it as brand-new, small-sized, and built for 6v6 and 2v2, which is exactly the size band that feeds a Search and Destroy rotation. But it is a Nuketown-themed pinball machine with moving parts, and the blog tells players to watch for pinballs bowling over Operators caught on the Track, flippers that can be set off, and interactive targets you can shoot. In a respawn mode that is chaos you laugh at. In one life it is a round you lose to the map.

  • Small map, one-life pacing A small 6v6 layout compresses rotations and makes the opening seconds decide the round. If Turbo Tilt ever reaches a Search rotation, expect fast contact and short trades.
  • Hazards you cannot trade with Map hazards do not care about your loadout or your aim. A pinball that knocks you off an angle at the wrong moment costs a full round, not a respawn.
  • Cranked is not a Search playlist The blog names Cranked Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Demolition in the Cranked Moshpit rotation. Search and Destroy is not on that list, so the mid-season LTM should not thin out Search lobbies.
  • Two attachments to read early The Peacekeeper MK1 Gauss Accelerator silently fires two projectiles at once with improved ballistics, at the cost of handling and mobility. The RK-9 Calibrated Strike System deals maximum damage only inside a specific range band, with an indicator for it.

The word doing the most work there is silently. In Hardcore Search, a gunshot is information: it gives away a site, a rotation, and a number. A fire mod that fires two projectiles without the usual report is a real edge on a hold, and the handling and mobility penalty is the price you pay for it. The RK-9 barrel is the opposite kind of decision, rewarding you for fighting at one specific distance and punishing you everywhere else. Neither is a Ranked-legal question yet, because nothing in this post touches Ranked.

What is not confirmed

The announcement never says Turbo Tilt enters the Search and Destroy rotation, the Ranked Play map pool, or the Hardcore playlists. It names no Black Ops 7 Ranked Play changes at all: the only ranked item in the entire post is a Warzone Ranked Series event. It also carries no weapon tuning. Treat Turbo Tilt as new content, not as a Search map, and do not rebuild a map pool plan around it yet.

What would verify it

The Season 05 Reloaded patch notes on August 20 are the document that settles this. Announcement blogs cover content; patch notes cover playlists, map pools, and weapon tuning. Watch the callofduty.com patch notes and the CODUpdates account that morning, then check the in-game Ranked Play map pool and the Search rotation once the update is live. If Turbo Tilt is a Search map, that is where it shows up, and if the two new attachments carry any competitive restriction, that is where it lands.

An announcement blog tells you what is coming. Patch notes tell you what changes about the way you play.
Timing note

August 20 puts this one day ahead of Call of Duty NEXT on August 21 and the Modern Warfare 4 Early Access beta that opens right after that broadcast. If your crew is splitting attention that week, the Black Ops 7 mid-season lands first and the MW4 beta lands the next day.
