Captains are not scouting for highlights. They are scouting for a teammate who makes match night easier. Three things get you off the free-agent list fast.
Make yourself easy to evaluate
List your role, your hours, and your platform up front. A captain who has to guess what you do will move on to the player who already told them. Clarity reads as reliability.
Comms are your résumé
In a tryout, your aim is half the test and your comms are the other half. Clean callouts, no blame, useful in death. A 1.0 K/D with great comms beats a 1.5 who goes silent or toxic.
Nobody benches the player who makes the team calmer.
Show up like it matters
Be on time, warmed up, and ready to take a role you did not ask for. The free agent who flexes without complaint is the one who gets the permanent spot.
